2 Corinthians 4:5 says: For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.
“FOR JESUS’ SAKE” are truly wonder-working words. These words can work miracles in our personal relationships. Let me encourage you to work this truth out in your life, in your family and in your job. What do you think would happen to you if you made every decision based upon this truth? What would you do differently if you were to do everything “for Jesus’ sake”?
When we seek to do everything based on the truth that we will do it all “for Jesus sake” several things will definitely happen:
- We will have Jesus as KING of our lives. He will be on the throne of our hearts, not us.
- We will change our motives from pleasing ourselves to pleasing Him.
- We will make Him the MASTER and we will see ourselves as His servants and His stewards.
- He will be the focus of all we do – not our families, jobs or hobbies – but Him alone.
